CAN BUS training stand
Fully functional CAN-BUS system is installed on a mobile aluminum frame. This CAN BUS training stand is specially designed to help students understand the system's structure.
The training stand is made using original Mercedes-Benz parts. The stand is equipped with a functional CAN GATEWAY 2.0 system.
The training stand simulator is an excellent educational tool that allows students to master the structure of the CAN bus system, explore its components, and perform various measurements, tests, and other diagnostic procedures.
Technical specifications and functions
The training stand is equipped with CAN gateway 2.0 system, which includes:
- Instrument panel
- Engine Control Unit ECU
- Smart Key, ignition module, locking module
- SRS airbag control unit ECU
- Central CAN bus module (ECU)
- Front and rear door control modules
- Front and rear window lift motors
- Front and rear window lift switches
- All components are connected to the internal network. For better understanding, the network is shown as a diagram;
- Module connections can be connected or disconnected using connectors. Low and high-speed CAN lines can be disconnected on the stand;
- CAN gateway system diagram with built-in connectors for measuring and modeling system faults;
- Ability to simulate more than 10 system errors;
- Window lift motors are active and controlled by switches, and door control modules using the car's CAN bus network.
Diagnostics and measurements
Oscilloscope / multimeter
System parameters are measured by connecting to connectors.
Ability to measure the electrical signal parameters of each component of the system (e.g., sensor or actuator).
Control unit diagnostics
Diagnostics through OBD 16-pin diagnostic connector
Diagnostics of all existing control units in the CAN bus network using automatic search (depending on the capabilities of the diagnostic tool)
Diagnostics of each control module separately
Identification of the Electronic Control Unit (ECU)
Reading / clearing error codes
Display of operating system parameters (live data)
Activation of actuators (depending on the control unit)
Coding / configuration of the control unit (depending on the control unit)
The stand has a closed structure - the internal wiring is not visible
