Since uncoupling articulated trains is very time-consuming, they are usually lifted completely. The synchronization is done by PLC control and corresponding sensors. The software is developed in our own software department and adapted to the specific project. Thus, articulated trains with any number of wagons can be lifted. Systems for up to 8 wagons (32 synchronized lifting jacks) have already been delivered, larger systems with up to 12 wagons are currently being planned.

The load range of lifting jacks for wagons starts from a lifting force of approx. 8tons and goes up to 75tons. Such high load is to be expected if loaded 4-axle wagons have to be lifted.

The form of the lifting arm is similar to that of streetcars and subways. This does not apply to lifting jacks for tank cars. Due to the round cross-section of the tanks and the associated load pick up points located further inside, these often have to be particularly long.

Similar to lifting jacks, the lifting units stand at the pit or cellar floor and extend upwards when used. The pit depth can be approx. 1m lower, which is an advantage not to be underestimated in existing pits, high groundwater or rocky subsoil or if the building has a basement.
