COMBUSTION GAS LEAK TESTER KIT
Set for testing leaks in head gasket without removing engine cylinder head by testing presence of
CO2 in cooling system
Includes US-made CO2 tester fluid
Tester fluid changes from blue to green or yellow if CO2 is present in coolant
Provided with a rubber adapter and three test caps for fitting most radiator filler necks
Rubber bulb helps draw vapor from radiator into test chambers
Tester fluid with MSDS and SVHC compliance
Pour CO2 tester fluid into upper chamber, and connect the rubber bulb on top of upper chamber.
Connect the conical adapter to radiator filler neck (Fig. 3).
Remove the conical adapter and connect to quick coupling and a suitable radiator test cap
(No. 3, 4 or 5) (Fig. 4).
Turn on the engine and run at idle for about half an hour. Pump the rubber bulb from time to time
to draw coolant vapor into the test chambers. If CO2 is present in the coolant, the tester fluid
will turn green.
Turn the screw counter clockwise to release pressure in the test chambers before disconnecting
from radiator (Fig. 5).
